Regimbal's Process for Laser Edge Lamacoid

Follow along as we take you through our process for making Laser Edge Lamacoid. From sending specs to the final product, see the entire process!

Step 1: Ensuring your specs are up-to-code with the builder's standards

You send us your specs. We mock everything up. We send it to you and you approve. Make sure that the sizing specs are right to the builder's code.

Step 2: Measuring and cutting the piece of plastic to the exact desired size

Once that's done, we take the shear in. We cut the piece of plastic that we need this size, and as far as the colors that you need for your Lamacoid. Then we take that piece of plastic and we go over to the laser engraving machine.

Step 3: Adjusting measurements before closing the laser up

We essentially open up the artwork that you've approved and is to specs. We make sure that all is properly up on screen. Once that's done, we bring our piece of plastic, we add it in the laser, we adjust the height, we close the laser up, and then we do our final tweaks on the computer, making sure that the settings are right for the plastic that we are using.

Step 4: Cleaning off any smoky residue

Once it's all done, we open up the laser, we grab the pieces, and essentially we have to separate the pieces as well as clean the plastic as it leaves a little smokey haze on it. We clean it up, we break it all apart, and then we add some two-way backing in order for you to adhere it to the panel or the fixture that you need to adhere it to.
